If you need assistance removing your valve we have had great luck with Apollo Drain.
The hot and cold water valve (faucet) must be removed from the clawfoot tub because it sits on a part of the tub that needs to be prepped and sprayed.
After the valve is removed you will have two holes in your clawfotot tub.
Run a water line from the shutoff up to one of the holes in the clawfoot tub where the valve used to be.
Ensure we have access to the shutoff so we can turn the water on and off during your clawfoot bathtub refinishing job.
Do not remove the drain. We need this in place to prep the clawfoot bathtub.
You can remove the overflow cover (silver piece shown below the holes in the picture below) if you'd like but we remove these on every tub we do so it's no problem either way. Do not remove the overflow pipe as it usually connects to the drain, which we need to do our prep work.
